DAYBREAK ⌬ (EP5)
Distilled from the eye of the hurricane, this project is designed to help listeners cross over to that state of feeling emotions deeply. The journey starts off with the acknowledgment of the abundance we have to speak on at all times. Crystale does a masterful job at grounding us in these turbulent times. Her spell of wisdom is rooted here in the pleasures of being present. The segment that follows brings us into questioning our own identity. The lengths life can bring us to when we question really who’s who and operating from their true selves. A man even changes his appearance surgically to see if he can seduce his wife through his new identity. The notion of home and homelessness is then explored bringing into question just how much is needed in life. A song approach on Marvel’s Blade character inevitably sees the light of day. An uncertainty of time follows within the dangerous quadrant where vampires roam freely. You could be turned to ashes with the rise of the sun. What happens in a world where the acceptance of differences is not found? The answer surrounds you but you’ll likely see someone catching the injustice on their smartphones. A call to action is needed for change; most of these pains are still raw and tender despite the elapsing of time. Revealing wounds that don’t seem to want to close until there’s a reformation of deeply rooted systems. Sometimes a level of awareness is needed to receive the lessons and interpret what’s going on in our lives. It takes a refraction of power from the inside source. Other times, it’s guidance from the angels in our lives that is needed. Those living sources or those ancestral beings in the spirit world that guide us. What starts off sounding like a Wes Anderson film quickly morphs into a mystical song of oracles and foretellings. Some try to control their destiny and keep the attachment to what they believe they are destined for. Seeking prophesies to discover and cling to dearly; losing that sense of flow and adaptation to the currents of life. We get details on the eluding lotus prophesy and a personal angle from Georgia’s Svnthltr. The journey ends in a voiceless void. Sometimes from that stillness, we can see the profound nature of our essence. There’s a lot happening between the lines here so let Daybreak be a light source through the darkness. Just as the lighthouse so faithfully represents. There’s always meaning in the decay and when J.a.y hyphen speaks on the epilogue, we know the project is complete.
