9 YEAR PEAK (GREATEST HITS)

by Dex

A nine year epoch of unique artistic vision has been assembled at the height of spring 2020. This 27 song unconventional landscape is like wisps of dark clouds spanning the sky. They say it takes courage to put out a song; let alone another collage of expanded material. The music promotes altered states of thought shying away from “cultural” norms. As an experimentalist, the status quo approach to music is always challenged and adjusted for a new found appreciation. Dex never matches his subjects for an audience; instead creating his own curated atmosphere for anyone to hear. There’s a certain spirit that is present in every beat selected or created for Dex. The art is often described as the work of a shapeshifter. If anyone were to ask about the legacy in music, this project would be mentioned time-again.

On the cover, there are 9 mountain peaks to symbolize the 9 years. In numerology, the number 9 stands for Mars which aligns since Dex is a pisces. It also represents global awareness, insight, diversity, compassion, emotion, interpretation and strength when it comes to ones life path. An art deco black arch frame is found balancing out the artwork allowing fans to see out of what could be a window. Mais has outdone herself once again as the Download also yields the back cover and an exclusive poster. The project is endorphin-inducing as far as writing is concerned. As a bonus, distortions in an attempt to re-harmonize dreams / reality in an underwater park that seems too good to sustain neverending euphoria. The longer you stay immersed in the park’s splendor, the greater the effect of ones’ memory loss. This is all collectors need this year; a single volume containing the essence of a man. They say the darkness feels complete and the resonance of ideas can be felt. The other collection bonus explores an angle from the menacing X-Men mutant Sabretooth. Do you know what it sounds like when darkness falls? It all starts at the clangor of the cow bells and goes without saying that a surprise ending is found somewhere between electric sheep.
